Today, I'll be talking about burnout. It's a requested post. One of us here told me to write about it. So, if you have any topic you want me to touch. Drop it below 👇
What's burnout.
Now, when you here the word "burnout". What comes to your mind is fatigue.
Comprehensively, Burnout means a state of physical or emotional stress that arises from a lot of things. If burnout is not managed. Productivity will be tampered with because burnout and productivity can't work together.
Causes of burnout.
There are a lot of causes of burnout but I will be giving you what you need to know.
The only cause of burnout I will be giving you is prolonged, excessive and unchecked stress 😬. Now, stress is normal but when it becomes prolonged, excessive and unchecked. Then it turns to burnout.
Burnout is like stress pro max 😂🤲
Signs of burnout.
1. Anxiety: You begin to worry and fear about your abandoned project or task because you're burned out.
2. Fatigue: This is like the first sign of burnout 😂🤲
3. Lack of productivity: You won't be able to do anything creative and meaningful because you're tired. You're not mentally stable, now to talk of productivity. No be so na 😂
4. Depression: This is on the high end of the spectrum. If you notice this, you need to get help immediately 🤝
5. Negative thoughts: All Thai things are related. If you get burned out, you will begin to experience imposter syndrome and before you know it you begin to have negative thoughts about yourself. Thinking you're not up to the task. All started from burn out.

How to manage burnout.
1. Get enough sleep: It's not everytime you work on your project, read, attend meetings and so on. Sleep, sleep and sleep. You can't cheat nature. The moment you start lacking sleep, burnout starts knocking on your day 🤧
2. Eat good food: Food is important. Eat well. Treat yourself to a good meal everyday. There's a nice sensation from eating good food. It could help reduce burnout.
3. Try relaxing activities: Like watching Netflix, going to a beach, going for spa. It's not everytime you go to office, school, shop to work 😂🤲. You will just burnout, that people will ask you wetin sup 😂🤝. Try relaxing a little
4. Try to prioritize the things you do: 80% of what people do mostly aren't important. That's why I wrote a post sometimes back about the difference of being busy and being productive with your time. It's not every meeting you go too, it's not every date you agree to. Give yourself time to rest.
5. Stay around people you care about: If you feel any sign of burnout, just go around the people you care about and they will change the situation. I can guarantee you that.
6. Go and see a therapist or a stress management coach: For cases, where the 5 ways that have been listed above prove abortive. You have to go see a professional.
